Watershed Management: DNR Observation Wells

Dakota County DNR Observation Wells
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) sponsors the Cooperative Groundwater Monitoring Program, which coordinates with soil and water conservation districts to collect monthly groundwater well measurements. Results from this monitoring effort are used to assess the overall health of groundwater within the state.

The Dakota County Soil and Water Conservation District is contracted by the MN DNR to collect monthly measurements from 24 observation wells scattered across Dakota County. Results are updated every month and can be found on the MN DNR's Observation Well Database.
