Vermillion River Watershed JPO: Technical Reports
Vermillion River Headwaters Groundwater Recharge Area Inventory and Protection Plan
This study was performed by the Dakota County SWCD through a MetroEnvironmental Partnership grant from the Metropolitan Council and with technical analyses by Emmons & Olivier Resources. Goals of the project included determining groundwater recharge areas in the upper reaches of the watershed and identifying the relationship between these recharge areas, Vermillion River flows, and potential development impacts. Ultimately, these data will help communities and the watershed authority protect the Vermillion's trout population by reducing the impacts of landuse changes within critical recharge areas.
